With this year’s recognitions, the MBCC reaffirms its unwavering dedication to quality, innovation, and sustainability, building on its legacy of excellence that continues to attract top accolades in the meetings and events industry.
Among its achievements, MBCC was named Best Convention Center in the U.S. by Skift Meetings (2024). This honor highlights the center’s dedication to maintaining the highest standards in service, innovation, and event execution. MBCC’s world-class facilities, impeccable service, and cutting-edge technology were cited as key factors that set it apart in a highly competitive market. Additionally, the award acknowledged the center’s versatility in hosting a diverse range of events, including medical and tech conferences, cultural exhibitions, and trade shows, positioning MBCC as a forward-thinking destination for event planners.
Further recognition came from Smart Meetings (2024), which presented MBCC with the Smart Stars Award for Best Convention Center. This award, determined by votes from meeting professionals, underscores MBCC’s unwavering dedication to innovation and high-quality guest experiences. It further solidifies the center’s reputation as a leader in the meetings and events industry.
MBCC’s exceptional facilities were also recognized with the Facilities & Destinations Prime Site Award for 2024 (Facilities & Destinations, 2024). Additionally, MBCC received ConventionSouth’s Annual Readers’ Choice Award, voted on by thousands of event planners across the southern United States (ConventionSouth, 2024). MBCC’s on-site venues, Rum Room and Venu, received recognition as Lux Life Magazine’s Hidden Gem of the Year 2024 (Lux Life Magazine, 2024). Additionally, MBCC received the Distinctive Achievement Award from Association Conventions & Facilities (Association Conventions & Facilities, 2024). MBCC was also named a Center of Excellence for 2025 by Exhibitor Magazine (Exhibitor Magazine, 2024), recognizing it as one of North America’s most highly regarded venues for conventions and trade shows.

Beyond these industry accolades, MBCC achieved significant milestones in accessibility and sustainability in 2024. The venue earned its Certified Autism Center™ designation in July, ensuring a welcoming and supportive environment for all guests, including those with sensory sensitivities. MBCC also attained Silver Level Certification in the Events Industry Council’s Sustainable Event Standards, showcasing its dedication to environmentally responsible practices .
Highlighting its inclusivity efforts, MBCC received the Wheel the World badge, which recognizes its comprehensive accessibility program. The Miami Beach Convention Center (MBCC) has taken a significant step towards inclusivity and support for nursing parents by introducing two new nursing pods. Re-imagined following a $640 million renovation, the expanded MBCC includes a new 60,000 sq. ft.
